OUR VISION

At Kids First Physio, our vision is simple – to provide the highest quality care for children and their families, delivered with honesty, compassion, and expertise. We believe the NHS is one of the greatest gifts we have, and we are not here to replace it.
Instead, we see ourselves as partners, working alongside NHS teams to add extra layers of support where it’s needed most.
We know that waiting times, limited appointment slots, and the complexity of services can sometimes leave families feeling anxious or unsure about what to do next. That’s where we can help – offering timely, specialist input that complements NHS care, helps keep children progressing, and reduces stress for families and services alike.
Our approach is grounded in transparency and trust. We will always give clear, honest advice, recommend only what’s needed, and ensure that every family feels confident in the value they receive. Above all, we want parents to feel empowered, informed, and reassured, knowing their child’s development and wellbeing are in the very best hands.

Appointment Types

Initial Assessment Our appointments begin with a comprehensive initial assessment (60 minutes), suitable for a wide range of children’s needs. We commonly see babies and children with developmental delay, neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, musculoskeletal concerns including hips, feet, posture or sports injuries, torticollis, plagiocephaly, and those needing follow-up after prematurity. The session includes a clear and structured subjective history, an in-depth objective examination, collaborative goal setting, and tailored recommendations, with exercise programmes provided where appropriate. Every family also receives a written report summarising the assessment and agreed plan, at no extra cost.

Baby MOT Our Baby MOT (60 minutes) is a thorough developmental check designed to give parents peace of mind. We look at your baby’s movement, muscle tone, joints, and overall development to make sure milestones are on track. The session includes advice, reassurance, and practical strategies to support your baby’s growth, with simple exercises or activities suggested where helpful. Families also receive a written report summarising the assessment and recommendations at no extra cost.

SDR Rehab Our SDR rehab service builds on extensive experience working in both acute and community settings, including specialist knowledge from Great Ormond Street Hospital. Sessions are carefully adapted to your child’s ability and goals, with a focus on engaging, fun, and meaningful therapy. We work closely with your local NHS and community teams to ensure continuity of care, providing tailored programmes, advice, and support to help your child achieve the best possible outcomes throughout their SDR journey.

Follow Up Appointments Our follow-up appointments (45 minutes) are offered where appropriate, ensuring that therapy is tailored to your child’s ongoing needs. Each session includes a review of progress, goals, and outcomes, with treatment adapted as required to keep your child moving forward. We continue to provide advice, progression of programmes, and strategies to support your child’s development, always working towards the goals that matter most to your family.
